Who we are
This website is run by North Platte Baptist Church, 808 W Philip Ave, North Platte, NE 69101. For any question about your privacy, email info@northplattebaptist.org or call 308.534.5279.
What you send us
When you use the contact form or ask about CDL training, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message, along with your browser type to help catch spam. We use them only to answer you.
Messages are stored on our own server and emailed to the church office through our email provider. They stay until church staff delete them. We never add you to a mailing list, and we never sell or share your details.
Visit statistics
To see which pages are useful, the site counts visits: the page, the website that linked to it, and whether it was viewed on a phone, tablet or computer.
To count each visitor once a day without cookies, it keeps a scrambled code made from your internet address and browser. The code changes every day, so visits can’t be linked from one day to the next or traced back to you. Your internet address itself isn’t stored. Statistics are deleted after 13 months.
You can turn visit statistics off at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, they start off.
Cookies and storage
We don’t use advertising, tracking or social media cookies. The site only uses:
- A sign-in cookie for church staff using the admin area.
- A cookie that remembers the members’ page passcode on your device for 30 days.
- Storage in your browser that remembers your privacy choice, and whether you closed or collapsed the ministries card.
Other services
Some features load content from other organizations, which receive your internet address when they do:
- Canaan Radio (canaanradio.com), for the radio player, song details and album covers.
- SoundCloud, when you press play on a sermon.
- OpenStreetMap, for the map on the contact page.
- Canaan Media’s form service, for the member forms.
Links to other websites, like YouTube, Facebook or our other ministries, are covered by those sites’ own privacy policies.
Children
This site isn’t meant to collect information from children. If you’re under 13, please ask a parent to contact us for you.
Security
Everything you send travels over an encrypted connection. Forms are checked for spam automatically, and only signed-in church staff can read messages.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete anything you’ve sent us, email info@northplattebaptist.org or call 308.534.5279, and we’ll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
